Osprey
Ridge Golf Club
One
of the best and newest courses in Nova Scotia, Osprey Ridge
is located only 50 minutes away from Halifax, just outside of Bridgewater.
This area is just as rich in heritage as it is golf.
Until last
year, golfers living in the Metro Halifax/Dartmouth Region who wanted
to play nationally recognized courses had to plan an overnight
stay. Osprey is literally within 'driving range', where its
close proximity to Halifax makes it an easy commute for a beautiful
and challenging 18-holes. If you want to stay for the night there
is plenty to do. Osprey Ridge is close to the famous tourist
attractions of Peggy's Cove and the world heritage town of
Lunenburg, home of the Bluenose. Located just off highway 103,
it is easily accessible from exit 12 on to the Harold Whynott Road.
This
latest addition to the nationally renowned Graham Cooke designs
is prepared with the finest of creeping bentgrass for its tees, greens,
and fairways, with the roughs prepared with a bluegrass/fescue mix.
With its new clubhouse, Osprey Ridge offers state-of-the-art
facilities in combination with the classic traditions of golf course
design.

Not
a detail has been overlooked in the design of this course. The
contoured fairways offer panoramic views throughout your
round. Including one of the three Osprey nesting perches
located on the course. There are plenty of facilities to improve
your game centered around the clubhouse. They include a driving
range, a practice putting green, a chipping green and a practice
bunker.
Osprey
is a semi-private club with Green fees, weekly memberships,
and carts are also available. Local non-members can book
tee times as much as five days in advance. If you're coming
to play the course from outside the area longer bookings
can be arranged.
